Since the sudden release of their iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak a few days ago, Taig has pushed out a number of very quick updates, including an English language version. Following that, v 1.1.0 has been released today. It’s the Taig iOS 8-8.1.1 Untether and is to fix an issue with the sandbox generating information that is redundant and, if existing users add the Taig source to Cydia and download the Untether package they will not need to reinstall the jailbreak.

If you haven’t yet updated to iOS 8.1.1 and installed Taig, it’s a good time to do it. iOS 8.2 isn’t expected until sometime early in the new year, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the jailbreak. To do so, follow one of these tutorials:
At the moment, there is no official Mac version of the jailbreak and we don’t know when, or if, Taig are going to release one. The above tutorial is a workaround using Parallels and Windows software. If you have already installed the jailbreak, you will need to add the Taig source to Cydia and download the Untether .
Now that Apple has stopped signing iOS 8.1, anyone who did not update to it will now go directly to iOS 8.1.1. If you prefer to stay on iOS 8 or 8.1, you can still jailbreak your iOS device using the Pangu jailbreak but, with Taig for iOS 8.1.1 here, it makes sense to update and take advantage of the new enhancements and features in the firmware.
