When Apple released iOS 8.1.2, it didn’t patch the jailbreak and was followed within hours by an update to the Taig utility. This meant that anyone who had already installed Taig had to reinstall it and some users have come across a new issue – the jailbreak is getting stuck, usually at 60 or 90%. As usual, there are a number of fixes that you can try .

- Run as Administrator :
To run Taig with full privileges that unlock restrictions enforced by the OEM, you need to run the utility as an administrator. Right click the icon and select Run as administrator . This works for windows only. On a mac system you will be asked to permission to install taig app and run it . Give all the permissions that are required and this should solve your problem with freezing issue while jailbreaking your iPhone running iOS 8.1.2 . if not , proceed to the next step for possible solution .
- Disable Find my iPhone
Do this by opening Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone
- Clear Some Space
Make sure there is sufficient space on your device for taig to install properly. You ned to ensure that you have about 3 GB free – the jailbreak only needs this while installing, once your device is jailbroken, the space is freed up again. Clear off any unwanted apps, files, media, and anything else you don’t need. You will need to back up your data before you start anyway and you can also move your media to a removable storage source while you jailbreak
- Disable Passcode and Touch ID
To make sure the jailbreak works OK, disable your passcode – Settings > Passcode and, if you use it, Touch ID – Settings > Touch ID & Passcode
- Restore Your Device
For the jailbreak to work you need to use the iTunes method of installing iOS 8.1.2. If you used the Over The Air (OTA) method, you need to connect your device to your PC, open iTunes and restore. Take a backup of your data first.
- Enable Airplane Mode
You should do this so that the absolute minimum number of settings is running on your device during jailbreaking. This stops third party services and apps from interfering with the jailbreak. Open Settings > Airplane Mode or swipe up the screen to access the Control Center and disable it that way.
